Senator JD Vance, Donald Trump's running mate, is set to appear on one of the biggest national podcasts, The Joe Rogan Experience. The interview will be taped on Wednesday in Rogan's studio in Austin, Texas, according to a Vance spokesperson.

Vance's interview will follow Rogan's highly anticipated interview with Trump, which has been widely watched, generating more than 37 million views on YouTube so far. The former president's interview was largely well received by swing voters, according to an analysis conducted for Newsweek.

When Will Rogan's Vance Interview Be Heard?

It is unclear when Vance's podcast episode will go live after Wednesday's recording. However, Rogan's team reportedly does minimal editing and publishes podcast episodes quickly, sometimes even the same day after recording.

For instance, Trump's three-hour-long interview with Rogan last week was recorded on Friday afternoon and posted the same night. The Joe Rogan Experience is available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify. Rogan has one of the world's most-listened-to podcasts, with over 14 million followers on Spotify.

Newsweek reached out to Rogan's publicist via email Tuesday morning for comment.

Has Rogan Endorsed a Presidential Candidate?

So far, Rogan, a podcast host, stand-up comedian, and Ultimate Fighting Championship commentator, has not endorsed a presidential candidate. His show leans more to the right and attracts a young, male audience.

He often shares views with Trump, such as skepticism over COVID-19 measures, which prompted calls during the pandemic for Spotify to cut ties with the podcaster. However, Rogan has generally avoided showing support for either Democrats or Republicans, expressing more frustration at the political establishment.

During his interview with Trump, Rogan acknowledged that he "likes JD Vance a lot" in response to a question from the GOP nominee about his running mate. "He is a brilliant guy...his ability to talk like a normal human being," Rogan responded.

Will Kamala Harris Come on Rogan's Podcast?

Rogan stated that he is still in talks to set up an interview with Vice President Kamala Harris but won't agree to the terms suggested by her campaign. "Also, for the record the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast. They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour," Rogan explained.

"I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin," Rogan said in a post on X (formerly Twitter). "My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen," he added.

Newsweek reached out via email to the Harris campaign for comment. During last week's interview, Trump and Rogan discussed the possibility of Harris being on the podcast. "I hope she does because it would be a mess," the former president said.
