The Hottest NFL Players In The Game Today

There are attractive men in every sport, but some sports seem more prone to serving us with superb eye candy. Maybe it is the muscle required for the job, or maybe it’s those nylon and spandex pants, but football is one such sport. It is hard to watch a game and not notice the players' extreme athleticism, and when they take off their helmets, we are consistently reminded just how stunning many NFLers actually are from the neck up as well. Thankfully, nearly all of them have Instagram accounts, and most are not shy about posting photos that highlight their sex appeal, which means that we can gawk whenever we want!

There are simply too many hot men who have played in the NFL for us to make a shorter list of the sexiest players, so we had to focus on men currently active in the league. That means that some very hot dudes who retired in the last handful of years — like Julian Edelman, Eric Decker, Chris Long, Danny Amendola, Reggie Bush, Mark Sanchez, and more — were ineligible. But even focusing only on current players, we had to make some tough choices. Here are some of the hottest NFL players in the game today, in no particular order.

Jimmy Garoppolo is probably the hottest guy in the NFL

You would be hard-pressed to find any list of hot NFLers that does not include Jimmy Garoppolo and one look at the man explains everything. If he were not such a good quarterback, Garoppolo could definitely have pursued a career as a model — that’s how good looking he is. All of his features are incredible, but none more than his amazing smile and adorable dimples. Garoppolo has been in the NFL since 2014, and even as a backup for Tom Brady (on the New England Patriots), Garoppolo's attractiveness was noticed by fans. An Outsports poll even declared him hotter than Brady by a margin of 78 to 22. There is no mystery why many of his top nicknames — from "Jimmy GQ" to "Prince Aladdin" — reference his looks.

Now a QB for the San Francisco 49ers, the Garoppolo sexy train is still running strong after nine years in the NFL. Garoppolo has 1.4 million Instagram followers and, despite not having tweeted since 2019, over a quarter of a million Twitter followers. He has the top spot on Ranker’s list of current NFL hotties and has been declared one of the league’s sexiest by Shape and Harper’s Bazaar. Fans have been so vocal about his hotness on social media that their extreme thirst has made outlets like The Oregonian, Just Jared, and Essentially Sports. It is no surprise that Garoppolo has been tapped to endorse a ton of brands, including Jordan Brand, Bose, Subway, and Men’s Wearhouse.

Odell Beckham Jr. is a real stunner

Odell Beckham Jr., or OBJ as he is commonly known, is a super popular NFL star. He has nearly 17 million Instagram followers and over four million on Twitter. Beckham Jr. began his pro career with the New York Giants in 2014 and also spent three seasons with the Cleveland Browns. He last played for the Los Angeles Rams, and though he is currently unsigned, is expected to play again in 2023. In the meantime, let’s appreciate OBJ for something beyond his talent — his unbelievable hotness. We love his awesome tattoos, thick beard, and wide smile, as well as his awesome fashion sense.

Beyond those basics, Beckham Jr.’s sexiness is highlighted on his social media in a number of ways. He often emphasizes his fitness routine and shows off his killer abs, but he also makes us swoon when he posts the softer side of himself, like a photo of him feeding his baby. And in addition to appearing naked in the 2015 ESPN Body Issue, Beckham Jr. has also modeled for Calvin Klein underwear. OBJ is listed as one of the league’s hottest on lists from Ranker, Shape, and WROR.

Mark Andrews is quite the looker

He may not be the best-known player in the league, but with 222,000 Instagram followers and 100,000 people following him on Twitter, Mark Andrews is doing more than okay for himself. We are certainly fans of the Baltimore Ravens player, who ESPN ranked as the 33rd best NFLer for 2022 and who is rather easy on the eyes. In fact, with his handsome face and muscular body, Andrews — who joined the Ravens fresh out of college in 2018 — is a full-on snack. He is listed as one of Ranker’s "Hottest NFL players of 2023," though perhaps not as high up on the list as he belongs. Still, we are glad people are taking note of Andrews’ killer smile and perfect scruff.

Beyond what he does on the field and the way that he looks, there is one more reason to love Andrews, and that is the work that he has done for diabetes awareness. As noted by ESPN, the NFLer has been vocal about having type 1 diabetes, a condition he has had since childhood, and has used his platform to inspire others. “Type 1 diabetes is a 24/7 fight, and for a young kid to see someone performing at the highest level, I think that’s encouraging,” Andrews said. “That’s a big moment.” For National Diabetes Awareness Month in 2022, Andrews posted an Instagram photo showing off the patch he wears on his torso to manage his diabetes — and that’s pretty cool.

Saquon Barkley has a winning smile

In 2018, the year he joined the NFL, Sports Illustrated published an article about how Saquon Barkley had a goal to become the "face of the NFL" and even had a strategy to get there. We won’t go so far as to say that Barkley is the actual face of the NFL — USA Today and many others consider Patrick Mahomes the current face of the league — but he has certainly established himself as a highly visible standout star. He had the best rookie season in New York Giants history and has accumulated 2.5 million followers on Instagram and half a million followers on Twitter. He has also scored endorsements with huge brands like Nike, Pepsi, Visa, Dunkin’, and Gillette.

Barkley certainly has the charisma needed to sell a product, and his good looks certainly do not hurt. His photo shoot for the 2018 ESPN Body Issue exposed every part of his body, and all of it looked incredible. Barkley’s face is equally as sexy, which is perhaps why he is near the top on Ranker’s "The Hottest NFL Players of 2023" and why he was named one of WROR’s top 10 hottest pro football players in 2022. Barkley has been with his girlfriend Anna Congdon since before he joined the NFL, and the two now have two children.

J.J. Watt is a mega hottie

Okay, so we know we said we would not include ex-NFLers, but J.J. Watt is such a recent player — and so handsome — that we made an exception for the linebacker, who announced his retirement at the end of December 2022. Watt spent a total of 12 seasons in the NFL — playing mostly for the Houston Texans and then his final two years for the Arizona Cardinals — and won the Defensive Player of the Year award three times. He is very popular with NFL fans and has a Twitter following of over 5.5 million and an Instagram following of 4.3 million. While we are sure many of the followers are there because of his athletic talent, at least some of them likely appreciate Watt’s other assets.

It is no shocker that Watt was listed on Harper’s Bazaar’s "The Hottest Football Players in the NFL" in 2018 and Shape’s "The Hottest Players on the Field This Season" in 2021. Beyond his amazing outer shell, Watt also seems like a good person. For example, when Carl Nassib came out of the closet, becoming the first openly gay active player in the league’s history, Watt was one of the first players in the NFL to post a message of support.

T.J. Watt is a snack like his brother

Clearly, there is something in the genes, because J.J. Watt’s younger brother T.J. is also a total smoke show. To boot, the younger Watt is widely regarded as one of the best football players out there today. T.J. has been in the NFL for six seasons, all of them with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and like his big brother, has won the Defensive Player of the Year award. (This also seems like a good place to note that there is a third brother, Derek Watt, who is also in the NFL. And while Derek is also gorgeous, alas, he did not make our list.) T.J. also has an Instagram following of a million and a Twitter following half that size.
