The time has come for the city to come together and celebrate Aboriginal music and community. It’s Aboriginal Music Week, ladies and gentlemen. Time to celebrate!
Native, Métis, Inuit, and Indigenous artists will be performing in numerous communities over the next week (August 9th to 13th) to celebrate all the beautiful Aboriginal culture in Manitoba.
There is so much to ctake in during the festival, like nearly 30 different performers. Those performers include Renee Lamoureux, Leonard Sumner (pictured above), and Astronomar.
Also, if you find yourself downtown during the lunch hour, you can catch the Digital Drum concert series! It has singing and dancing performances by numerous artists!
Many of the events are free to attend, and they’re happening all over the city so you can go no matter where you live! You check out a full schedule here.
Make sure you take full advantage of this upcoming week full, because it is full of amazing performances and culturally enriching experiences!
