Who here has always wanted to visit the Calgary Stampede to see the rodeo but doesn’t want to make the trip across the country? Well, you don’t have to leave the province to experience the awesome Stampede vibes! The Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition runs in Morris, Manitoba this weekend (July 21st to 24th).
The Manitoba Stampede started in 1964 with the dream to be the largest Stampede east of Calgary. They are well on their way there! Driving only 70 km east of Winnipeg can transport you to the wonderful Western town of Morris. There is so much to do and see while you’re there. Of course, the main attraction is the Rodeo that features Bareback, Steer Wrestling and Saddlebronc riding, but there’s also Pony, Chuckwagon & Chariot races which will run the whole weekend.
On top of all the rodeo-ing and racing, there is also an EDM concert, drill team performances, and roping demos.
Make sure to bring some sunscreen and your cowboy boots, and get ready to have an awesome weekend!
