It’s that magical time of year.
Festival du Voyageur starts this Friday, February 12! We’ll be there Friday evening and all day Saturday to help kick off the festivities. Come hang out with us!
You can get your tickets here, or at the entrance.
In honour of our voyageur pals, we’ve done some exploring of our own. We’ve made a list of the top 7 most awesome French words. Check it.
7. Citrouille (see-true-yee)
Pumpkin. A very elegant, fancy pumpkin.
6. Effleurer (ey-fluhr-ey)
To touch lightly. Is it a coincidence this word sounds so much like ‘flower’?
5. Flâner (fla-nay)
To wander with no destination in mind. Just absolutely lovely.
4. Parapluie (par-a-ploo-wee)
3. Coquillage (Co-kee-yah-zsh)
Sea Shell. Smooth. Real smooth.
2. Hippocampe (exactly what you’d think)
Sea Horse. Seriously. Like, for real. Hippo.
1. Sortez de votre sous-sol
Get out of your basement. 🙂
See you at Festival du Voyageur!
