Rainy days aren’t bad. Just because you can’t go outside without being soaked doesn’t mean that the day is lost. There are plenty of spur-of-the-moment activities that one can partake in should it rain.
Let’s start out with a basic, but tried-and-activity: The Movies!
There are plenty of movie theatres all around Winnipeg. Some notable ones including Silver City and the Grant Park Mall Theatre. Just check online to see what movies are showing at what times, and then show up and get your ticket. Fun times await, but if you don’t get your ticket online you may wanna show up a bit early so you aren’t late for the show.
Why not head to a book store like McNally Robinson Booksellers or Chapters Indigo? You can purchase novels, comic books, magazines, and a variety of other products. There are also plenty of places to sit, relax and read your new purchase.
You could also go to a mall like Polo Park, St. Vital Centre, Grant Park, or Kildonan Place. There are plenty of things to do there! xYou can shop until you’ve had your fill. Not only that, but most malls have pretty expansive food courts, so you can eat if you get hungry.
Speaking of food, why not go to a restaurant? You can get good food from plenty of places in the city, and there’s something nice about having a tasty meal while listening to the relaxing patter of the rain.
Those options don’t do it for you?
Well, you could always go to a gym. Some gyms have nice pools, such as the Pan Am Pool. You can just relax and chill out. Or, should you want to work out to pass the time on this rainy day, the YMCA has plenty of nice machines for you to use. Pan Am Boxing also is a great option, and if you schedule it right, you can go to a (very hard) workout class.
There’s a lot of stuff to do on a rainy day. It’s up to you to pick the best thing!
Or… You could just stay in the basement. The basement is nice. So comfy, so cozy.
What a twist~
